Tostada Campaign

How do you tostada?

Let us count the ways.

Based off the insight that people have many different ways of taking down the delicious tostada bowl from El Pollo Loco, we created a campaign around the different tostada personalities.

This campaign was created at the height of Covid, when production was what you could call “complicated.” Since an actual shoot wasn’t able to happen, we had to get creative.

One casting call and 48 hours later, we started to receive videos of our talent eating tostada bowls. From there, I pulled screenshots, developed the look and feel using EPL branding, and animated it all together resulting in a fun, colorful social and digital campaign.

National Burrito Day

National Burrito Day is a big deal in the QSR space. The goals of this campaign were to: 1. Drive same-day sales on the holiday, 2. Increase the number of transactions that were made via their owned digital channels and, 3. Drive sign-ups to their loyalty program.

Well, we managed to do all that and to give El Pollo Loco their highest sales day in history. We also got recognized by The Shorty Awards.
